PVL All-Star Game set

A stellar cast headed by the power-hitting duo of Creamline’s Alyssa Valdez and Motolite’s Myla Pablo will headline the Premier Volleyball League’s All-Star Game slated Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

Valdez, the reigning PVL Open Conference Most Valuable Player, and Pablo, a former MVP winner herself, will lead their respective squads in a fun and competitive showdown that should kick off another promising season of the PVL, which is now on its third year.
The game set at 4 p.m. and will be aired live on ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream, also seeks to generate funds for the benefit of Hero Foundation, according the PVL’s Ricky Palou.
“This is our gift to the fans as well as raising funds for charity,” said Palou.
Ateneo’s Deanna Wong, Maddie Madayag and Dani Ravena, Petro Gazz’s Chie Saet and Jessie de Leon, Creamline’s Michele Gumabao, Mel Gohing and Risa Sato, BanKo-Perlas’ Nicole Tiamzon and Kathy Bersola, Iriga-Navy’s Grazielle Bombita and University of the Philippines’ Isa Molde will form Valdez’s team that will be coached by Petro Gazz’s Jerry Yee.
Pablo’s squad will be composed of Creamline’s Jia Morado and Jema Galanza, BanKo-Perlas’ Jem Ferrer and Joy Dacoron, Ateneo’s Kat Tolentino, Vanessa Gandler and Bea de Leon, PetroGazz’s Jonah Sabete and Cherry Nunag, Tacloban’s Dimdim Pacres, Pocari-Air Force’s Dell Palomata and Adamson-Akari’s Thang Ponce and mentored by Ateneo’s Oliver Almadro.
