Listed Century Properties Group (CPG) and Asian Carmakers Corporation on Tuesday opened a P1.6-billion green office building at the Bonifacio Global City, pre-certified by a globally recognized green building and sustainability certification system.
The 21-story Asian Century Center is 75 percent leased, according to CPG, with three out of four IT companies already holding office. The building, which has a net leasable area of 29,628 square meters, is expected to generate roughly P500 million in annual revenues once fully leased out to add to CPG’s leasing portfolio.
The local importer and distributor of BMW cars, Asian Carmakers, meanwhile, plans to put up a showroom of automotive manufacturer Peugeot at the ground floor.
“We are very pleased with the outcome and early success of Asian Century Center. We thank the Asian Carmakers Corporation for a fruitful partnership and our project stakeholders who gave their trust and support in us. The addition of this green building into the office inventory of BGC and Taguig City is quite timely as more companies look for well-designed and efficient office spaces to locate in,” CPG chairman and chief executive officer Jose Antonio said in a statement.
The development is accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and meet its strict requirements including 100-percent power backup, high-speed Internet and infrastructure as well as a building management system.
It has been pre-certified for the core and shell rating of LEED or the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a worldwide green building and sustainability certification system.
According to CPG, LEED precertification is awarded to projects with achievable sustainable targets, which “demonstrates the project’s commitment to LEED certification.”
