It’s not enough that he has to deal with Yam Concepcion and Yen Santos in the nightly primetime hit show Halik. Jericho Rosales has a new girl who gives a new meaning and lending an orange-y color to his already interesting reel life.

Will Rye and Anna fall for each other after knowing their true identities and experiencing pressures from the public?

For the first time, Jericho will have Jessy Mendiola as his leading lady in the upcoming movie The Girl in the Orange Dress. The movie is an official entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) which will open on Christmas Day, 25 December.

Jericho plays Rye, a superstar and a certified girl magnet. He is the object of many girls fantasy, including Jessy’s friends. On the other hand, Jessy plays Anna, a mysterious, happy go-lucky-girl who always throws caution to the wind.

Rye and Anna’s paths crossed and suddenly things happen. They end up in bed and everything turns upside down. That singular encounter added color to their lives. Their picture together went viral and became a hot topic on television but the public is clueless about Anne’s identity. They only know her as the girl in the orange dress.

It’s a different Jericho that the audience will see in the movie. When he did #Walang Forever, also an entry to a past edition of the filmfest, he made the audience cry. He also he won the Best Actor award for the said movie. At last year’s MMFF, he was seen in Siargao.

Meanwhile, it is Jessy’s first time to have an entry at the MMFF as a lead actress. She was last seen in the movie Chinoy: Mano Po 7.

One of the highlights of the movie is the tango dance of Jericho and Jessy. Luis Manzano, Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado appear in special guest roles.

The film also stars Sheena Halili, Hannah Ledesma, Ria Atayde, Nico Antonio, Cai Cortez, Via Antonio, Juan Miguel Severo and more.

The Girl in the Orange Dress is presented by Quantum Films which produced the filmfest movies English Only Please, #Walang Forever and All of You. It is written and directed by Jay Abello.
