Former Bayan Muna Partylist Rep. Satur Ocampo, incumbent ACT-Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro and 16 others were caught red-handed, in flagrante delicto, transporting 14 minor children, aged 14 to 17, surreptitiously stored in five vans, like thieves in the dark of the night, in far-off Talaingod, Davao del Norte. Fortunately, they were discovered by the authorities at a checkpoint where they were accosted and later charged, detained, pursuant to due process.
“Similar to how he has successfully suppressed the drug war, President Duterte is gearing up for another all-out war against the communists within the bounds of law.
Like common criminals, these leftists clearly were found right in the middle of their illicit process of planting the seditious seeds, as they invest, rather exploit, the minds of young individuals, who they take without parental consent, so they can brainwash them in their communist-ran schools, teaching them their own version of the National Anthem, engaging them in leftist day-to-day school activities. It shall come to no surprise if they are taught how to fire rifles and machine guns as required co-curricular activities.
As of this writing, the communist kidnappers have already been released upon payment of their bail of P80,000 each. Tagum City, Davao del Norte Executive Judge Arlene Palabrica directed the release by the issuance of a Supplemental Order dated 1 December 2018 on the ground that no information/s have yet been filed.
However, the respondents are due to spend more time in Tagum City as they still have to file their counter-affidavit/s to the complaint filed against them. It was reported that incumbent Bayan Muna Partylist Rep. Carlos Zarate, together with a team of lawyers, is now in Davao del Norte to provide legal assistance to the group of Ocampo.
To fuel the communist propaganda, a press conference was held on the morning of Saturday, 1 December 2018, where the wife of Ocampo made her expected statements against government action in the presence of Anakpawis Partylist Rep. Ariel Kasilao and other members of the Makabayan Bloc. And guess who else was leading the pack during the press conference? None other than yellow ringleader, Commission on Human Rights Chairman Chito Gascon. It is thereby apparent that the yellows are joining this bandwagon leading them, again, to nowhere.
The reality is that mainstream media have suppressed what is really going on in the ground with the Lumad. Videos have been shared on social media showing the meeting between Ocampo, et al. and the guardians of the children right at the police precinct on the night of the arrests.
Present there was the Municipal Tribal Chieftain of Talaingod Bae Pilar Libayao, 73 years old and Datu Andigao Agay, who both made it clear that the leftists committed an unsanctioned act and did not even seek permission from the tribal council in abducting the children.
In other words, this video is hard evidence of the illegal interference and kidnapping of minors committed by the leftists, enough to sentence them to a lifetime in prison.
Verily, should there have been real harassment by the state forces, then Ocampo should have reported these, instead of taking matters in their own hands. They could have reported it to the Department of Social Welfare and Development or the local government unit.
They could have called upon the national government. But why go rogue, incognito, with the hope of being undetected in a far-flung province in the middle of the night?
“We have further proof that these leftist groups are engaged in illegal activities and the Filipino people are sadly funding them.
We ask ourselves, how did they get in Congress in the first place? How do these leftist partylists garner 300,000 plus votes and for Gabriela and ACT-Teachers, more than one million votes, to get seats in Congress?
With the admission of Majority Leader Rolando Andaya that each House member shall get P60 million in the proposed P3.757 trillion 2019 budget, it is clear that they are still using the taxpayers’ money wisely. And we expect them to do the same in next year’s midterm elections.
Once Ocampo, Castro and their group are indicted, we have further proof that these leftist groups are engaged in illegal activities and the Filipino people are sadly funding them. This indictment must be enough to justify additional limits on the partylist system in the Philippines which has proven to be abused on all fronts. This has allowed not only political dynasties to flourish; it has also permitted tolerance towards organized and syndicated communist propaganda and activities. But let’s face it: with the number of partylist congressmen and the millions they have in campaign money, any change is improbable.
This is why the President has suggested special action units against the communist rebels who have persisted in their nefarious and murderous ways. Time and time again, we see police officers and military authorities killed in the provinces.
Similar to how he has successfully suppressed the drug war, President Duterte is gearing up for another all-out war against the communists within the bounds of law, utilizing reasonable force.
