Discovery Primea’s Flame Restaurant, in partnership with Asian Culinary Exchange 2018 (ACE), is set to host a once-in-a-lifetime collaborative dinner featuring some of the best chefs in Asia, namely, Vicky Cheng of Michelin-starred Vea Restaurant and Lounge in Hong Kong, Woo Wai Leong of MasterChef Asia fame and Restaurant Ibid in Singapore, Asia’s Best Female Chef Margarita Fores and Discovery Primea’s esteemed executive chef Luis Chikiamco on 27 November 2018.

Chef Vicky Cheng trained and refined his culinary techniques at highly-regarded restaurants like Auberge du Pommier Canoe in Canada and Michelin-starred Daniel in New York. He came back to his birthplace, Hong Kong, in 2011 where he started VEA Restaurant and Lounge. In 2014, he was named Chef of the Year by Foodie Forks and in 2016 his restaurant was awarded with a Michelin star. It was also named as one of the hottest restaurants in Asia in the Diners Club 50 Best Discovery Series.

Chef Woo Wai Leong got his big break after winning Master Chef Asia. He then cooked at pop-ups, always offering diners something different. Encouraged by the camaraderie and support he received from local chefs, he took the plunge by opening Restaurant Ibid, that looks after its people by training his own staff and providing diners with warm hospitality and seamless dining.

Rounding up the formidable lineup are Filipino chefs Margarita Forés, who is not only best known for being named Asia’s Best Chef in 2016 but also for her restaurants Lusso, Grace Park, Alta and restaurant and catering chain Cibo; and Chef Luis Chikiamco, who has become the famed executive chef of Discovery Primea’s food and beverage outlets including Flame and Tapenade.

Organized by bestselling cookbook author and food writer Angelo Comsti, ACE is a two-day event where top foreign and local chefs will participate in a forum and create collaborative dinners at particular bars and restaurants all over the metro.
