MPBL rolls back to Cebu

CEBU CITY — The Cebu Sharks will host Laguna Heroes when the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Datu Cup rolls back to this Queen City this Saturday at the Hoopsdome in Lapu-Lapu City.

This will be the second time for the rising league to hold its games in Cebu.
The first time it was staged here, the Sharks defeated Makati Skyscrapers while the Zamboanga Valientes overcame the Basilan Steel at the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) Basak gym last month.

The Sharks are currently at the eighth spot with a 5-9 win-loss slate while the Heroes are taking care of a 7-6 record.

Former Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. Most Valuable Player Jaybie Mantilla will suit up for the home team after leading the Jaguars to the a runner-up finish against University of the Visayas recently.
