A total of 1,305 uniformed and non-uniformed policemen will be deployed by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on this year’s All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day.
According to QCPD District Director Joselito Esquivel Jr., they will man the six cemeteries and 16 columbaria in Quezon City.
“As early as 26 October, policemen will be deployed to different cemeteries and columbaria to ensure security of those who will pay respect to their dead,” Esquivel said.
QCPD also teamed up with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to ensure smooth traffic flow in QC for the upcoming “Undas.”
Esquivel also reminded the public to put security measures in their houses to ward off members of akyat-bahay gang.
“To those who will come to the cemetery and visit their loved ones, please do not throw your trashes everywhere. Just bring your garbage to your house instead if you can’t see any nearby garbage bag inside the cemetery,” Esquivel said.
