Lyceum of the Philippines University seeks to quell Arellano University and move closer to a semifinals berth in the 94th National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City.

After seeing their winning streak busted by the University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta, 81-83, the Lyceum Pirates are determined to regain their bearing and lash at the Chiefs who hold a 4-8 win-loss record.

“We just have to learn from (the loss) and try to improve every game,” said LPU coach Topex Robsinson, adding that losing hope is never entertained by their team.

Lyceum star-players Mike Nzeusseu, Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino and reigning MVP CJ Perez are expected to step up as they face the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, co-leader San Beda College (12-1) seeks to continue its solid run as it tackles San Sebastian College Recoletos at 4 p.m.

Currently holding a 4-9 win-loss mark, the Recto-based squad continues to accumulate wins as they recently prevailed over Jose Rizal University, 82-75.
