CEBU CITY — University of Cebu is set to sustain its blazing streak when it clashes with University of Southern Philippines-Foundation in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. men’s basketball tournament today at the Cebu Coliseum.

Riding the crest of their massive 72-65 win over rival University of the Visayas, the Webmasters will shoot for their seventh straight conquest in their 6:45 p.m. match following the battle between University of San Jose Recoletos and University of San Carlos at 5:15 p.m.

Comebacking Darryl Menina is tipped to lead the charge following a two-year stint with Mapua University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Also expected to carry the cudgel is Cameroonian import Frederick Elombi, who is expected to match the power of Panthers’ import Rich Managor, making this battle doubly interesting.

Meanwhile, streaking Jaguars are out to end their first round campaign on high note when they collide with the Warriors.

The Jaguars (4-1) have import Segamars Ewenike to bank on following a double-double performance of 18 points and 10 rebounds in their previous outing against Southwestern University.

The Warriors will be turning on their import Sonti Managor, who is the younger brothers of Rich Managor.
