All 35 local government units in Ilocos Sur were assessed as fully compliant with the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s Full Disclosure Policy for the 2025–2026 assessment period, the provincial government announced.

The rating covers the provincial government, the cities of Vigan and Candon, and the province’s 32 municipalities. Compliance was assessed for the second, third and fourth quarters of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

The policy requires local governments to make key information on public transactions, programs, projects and finances accessible to the public. The provincial government credited local executives, officials, disclosure policy focal persons and other personnel for the result.

Provincial government said the achievement reflects a shared commitment to transparency and accountability, and urged local governments to sustain their compliance and strengthen public access to information.
