Wanted theft suspect collared at NAIA 3
A 25-year-old man wanted for theft was arrested after airport security personnel found him sleeping inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
The Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group reported that security personnel spotted the man napping along a hallway beside an airline ticketing office at the departure area on the terminal’s third floor.
When told that sleeping inside airport premises was prohibited, the man reportedly became aggressive and shouted at the security personnel, prompting them to seek assistance from the NAIA Police Station 3.
A verification through the E-Warrant System revealed an outstanding bench warrant for his arrest issued by Branch 2 of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities in Lipa City, Batangas, on 19 October 2026, in connection with a theft case.
The court recommended bail of P10,000 for the suspect’s provisional liberty.
NAIA Police Station 3 coordinated with the Manila Police District, resulting in a joint operation that led to his arrest. The suspect is now in MPD custody for documentation and appropriate disposition.
