Chinese arrested in P5-M motorcycle parts seizure

A Chinese national was arrested after authorities seized suspected smuggled motorcycle parts worth more than P5 million in an operation in Valenzuela City.

Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Eastern District Field Unit led the operation at 1174 Marcos Street, Barangay Malinta.

Among the confiscated items were brake pumps, cables, suspension components, gas cylinders, hoses and handle grips, along with buy-bust money.

The arrested foreigner and seized evidence are now under the custody of the CIDG Eastern District Field Unit for documentation and appropriate legal proceedings.

The Philippine National Police said operations against illegal trade would continue to protect legitimate businesses and consumers.
