NAGA CITY – The tenth person on the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s (PDEA) list of drug personalities in the Bicol region was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Legazpi City, Albay on Thursday, 5 November, according to a belated report.

PDEA Bicol said their agents also seized P170,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) at the operation in Purok 7, Barangay 69-Buenavista in Legazpi City at around 5:35 p.m.

Alias “Pale,” 42, a construction worker and resident of Guinobatan, also in Albay, was arrested after he sold drugs to a poseur buyer. Seized from him were around 25 grams of suspected “shabu,” with the said estimated standard value.

The report said the suspect is now detained while a charge for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” is being prepared against him.
