Combustion
It’s really been intense since 2026 began, but this last week of October until today there is an internalization being forced on everybody.
Lately, I’ve found myself in mentor mode. I’ve been talking with CEOs and creative entrepreneurs, and these conversations have given me a deeper look at the challenges we are all facing together: People working their butts off against a system, or rather, a broken one, where corruption has become a way of life. The pressures are relentless. Operating costs keep climbing, wage increases are due, and oil prices and transport costs push everything up from the supply chain to the shelf. Power bills remain among the heaviest in the region. And every storm season, typhoons shut down businesses and set back whole communities.
I feel the frustration. I feel the patience being stretched thin. With Christmas around the corner, many are worrying about 13th month pay and bonuses when revenue targets haven’t even been met. Meanwhile, I also speak with professionals hustling to keep providing for their families, even as they try to keep their mental and physical health in check. And then there are the people on the ground, the smaller people we hire and employ. For them, the struggle is not an abstraction. It is real, and it is daily.
The energies have been intense. And everyone feels it. The astrology of the month show this to be the most combustible point of the year. Ok it’s really been intense since 2026 began, but this last week of October until today there is an internalization being forced on everybody. We are at the most intense point of 2026 which will run until mid-November. I won’t go into the astrological jargon to explain how this is so…except to say that when five planets are retrograde and certain planets touch together at points in the sky that represents karma, then energies really express this massive shift. Because it’s about karmic releasing. Of the past. Of systems that just don’t work anymore for the people. And before anything new will be built, then the old must be destroyed. It’s the period of clearing out the dead weight of what doesn’t help us grow and expand spiritually. Again, the storyline is all about evolving.
In global events, we are transported every second or minute as we switch watching this combustion through a convergence of geopolitical tensions, civil unrest., popular uprisings, political upheavals and growing discontent. And instability goes beyond physical borders into cyberattacks, digital sabotage, information warfare and new weapons of technology. These boundaries are blurring. The energies are volatile, ignitable, explosive. Our world is on edge and showing multiple fault lines. And we? We must face our daily grind for business to survive, employees to pay, families to feed, relationships to nurture, advocacies to stand up for. In our personal spaces, we will meet emotional explosions or challenges at our patience, and internal fears. The times are asking us to bend but not to break. We are challenged to embrace patience and courage to keep that spirit up, quiet breaths to stretch the patience and watch our mental health, try to keep the speed and chaotic energies away. And the planets are helping us move inward, precisely because it is only within that we can study and face our own fears. Or embrace with the faith at a Divine Plan being played out.
So people ask me, how much longer will this craziness last? Will 2027 be better? I can’t promise anyone an easy year. But I can tell you where to look first. On November 9, we have a New Moon in Scorpio, and a new moon always asks us to begin again with a little more understanding. Scorpio takes us down to the underworld, to the fears and feelings we have been carrying all year. The wisdom is already in there. This is the moon for listening to it, because it will help us steer our work, our relationships and our decisions through the last month of 2026. For those of us carrying payroll, bonuses and a team that depends on us, that kind of inner steadiness matters.
The fog is also lifting. Mercury retrograde ends on 13 November and with it the confusion and misunderstandings that have clouded our plans. Anything launched during this retrograde may not pan out as we expected (I will point out specifically the Blue Tornado or the democratic landslide win during the US mid-term elections that wants to change or impeach President Trump. But I don’t see this happening and the sense of victory will change…). Then on 14 November, Venus retrograde ends, too, and feelings that have been bottled up can finally move outward and be expressed freely. So before we ask whether 2027 will be better, let’s ask what we are ready to listen to, and to release, right now. The system may not change overnight. But we can. Even as the volatility and chaos around us continues.
