SM Investments Corp. ranked 206th among 500 companies in TIME magazine and Statista’s Asia-Pacific’s Best Employers 2027 list, placing the Philippine conglomerate among the region’s recognized employers.

The recognition highlights SM Investments’ standing in a regional study that evaluates workplace satisfaction, employee recommendations and perceptions of companies across industries.

United Laboratories (Unilab) led Philippine companies in the ranking at 24th place, followed by Ayala Corp. at 32nd. Jollibee Foods Corp. placed 89th, while BDO Unibank ranked 164th, Philippine Airlines 186th and Aboitiz Power 196th.

Solaire Resort & Casino and Megaworld Corp. also made the list, ranking 222nd and 304th, respectively.

SM Investments president and chief executive officer Frederic DyBuncio said the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to fostering a workplace where employees can grow professionally and perform at their best.

“Our people are central to SM’s continued growth. We want employees to feel respected, have the support to do their best work and find opportunities to build their careers here. This recognition encourages us to keep listening to improve the experience of working at SM,” DyBuncio said.

TIME and Statista assessed more than 7,000 companies before selecting the 500 best employers in the Asia-Pacific region. The evaluation drew on surveys of more than 80,000 employees conducted from 2024 to 2026.
