Seniors line up early as BPI Manila resumes P20/kilo rice sales
Senior citizens and nearby residents began lining up as early as 7 a.m. at the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) in Manila on Wednesday, November 4, as the “Benteng Bigas, Meron Na!” program resumed normal operations after the All Souls’ Day holiday. The program sells subsidized rice at P20 per kilo.
