No crime incidents were recorded across Cagayan Valley during the observance of Undas 2026, following the deployment of more than 10,000 police personnel and force multipliers to cemeteries, transport terminals, major roads, and other public places.

The Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) reported that a total of 10,654 personnel and force multipliers were deployed across the region to ensure public safety during the observance.

Police also established 300 Public Assistance Desks (PADs) to provide immediate assistance and information to cemetery visitors and other members of the public.

Security measures included inspections of cemeteries, memorial parks, columbaria, bus terminals, and other areas expected to draw large crowds.

PRO2 also intensified police patrols and coordination with local government units while enforcing restrictions on prohibited items inside cemeteries, including bladed weapons, alcoholic beverages, and playing cards.

The regional police office said the measures helped maintain peace and order in public and private cemeteries across the region's five provinces, with no reported violations involving prohibited items or incidents of criminality during the observance.

PRO2 Regional Director PBGen Mariano C. Rodriguez attributed the peaceful observance to the heightened police presence in strategic areas and the cooperation of local communities.

He thanked police personnel, local government units, partner government agencies, force multipliers, and residents for their participation in maintaining public safety.

Rodriguez said the outcome reflected the collective efforts of various sectors in ensuring a peaceful and orderly Undas celebration across Cagayan Valley.
