Most wanted fugitive nabbed in Makati
The Southern Police District (SPD) recorded a significant accomplishment following the arrest of the top 1 most wanted person in Makati City on Wednesday morning, 4 November.
The accused—identified as alias Efren, 49, foreman—was arrested at around 10:30 a.m. along Valderama Street, Barangay Pio del Pilar, Makati City.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 33, Ballesteros, Cagayan, for violation of Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, otherwise known as the Anti-Rape Law of 1997. The warrant carries no bail recommended.
Following his arrest, alias Efren was brought to Santa Praxedes Police Station for proper documentation and processing prior to his turnover to the issuing court. The warrant will be returned to the court of origin.
SPD District Director Police Brigadier General Rodel Pastor recognized the successful operation as a testament to the value of strong police partnerships.
He emphasized that the effective implementation of warrants requires commitment not only from the originating unit but also from police personnel who extend their support beyond their immediate areas of responsibility.
