Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) has received the Four Golden Arrow Award for the third consecutive year, recognizing its corporate governance practices and commitment to transparency, accountability and responsible decision-making.

The recognition was conferred by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) under its annual Golden Arrow Awards, which assess publicly listed companies and insurance firms based on their governance standards.

Bank’s efforts making good governance part of daily operations

Metrobank Compliance head Arnulfo Pascioles Jr. said the award reflects the bank's efforts to make good governance part of its daily operations.

“Good corporate governance goes beyond compliance with established standards. It is about doing what is right, making sound decisions, and being accountable to those who place their trust in us. This recognition affirms our commitment to upholding these principles and making them integral to how we conduct our business,” Pascioles said.

Practices promoting accountable leadership

The award recognizes practices that promote accountable leadership, fairness, transparency and ethical conduct, while protecting the interests of shareholders, customers and other stakeholders.

The assessment is based on the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard and Corporate Governance Scorecard, which evaluate publicly disclosed information covering shareholder rights, stakeholder relations, transparency and board responsibilities.

Metrobank said the recognition reinforces its commitment to maintaining sound governance across the organization, from board-level oversight to everyday business decisions.
