What makes a workplace truly special? Is it the vibrant energy of a community built from the ground up, the comfort of knowing your employer has your back, or simply finding a space where you can grow, thrive and feel valued?

Whatever the secret ingredient is, Filipino companies have officially mastered it.

In the newly released Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ Southeast Asia list for 3 November 2026, the Philippines didn't just make a showing—it completely dominated. Out of the 100 top employers across 10 Southeast Asian countries, an incredible 54 companies certified in the Philippines made the cut, making it the most-represented country on the entire list.

The achievement reflects a massive survey of over a million employees region-wide (specifically 1,322,537 confidential responses), proving that the heart, resilience and warmth of Filipino workplace culture are resonating on an international scale.

Local heroes stealing the spotlight

While global heavyweights like Cisco (No. 4), Synchrony (No. 41) and Atlassian (No. 100) made their presence known, it is the homegrown Filipino enterprises and beloved local brands that truly stole the show at the top of the rankings.

Leading the charge is Golden Arches Development Corporation—the operator of McDonald’s Philippines—which made a stellar debut at No. 7, marking the highest new entry on the entire regional list. For a brand that opened its very first restaurant on Morayta Street in Manila back in 1981 and has since grown to roughly 800 stores nationwide, scaling a people-first culture across busy restaurant floors is no small feat.

Joining them near the very top are other proud local fixtures:

Balibago Waterworks System (No. 19): What started in 1958 as a humble local water provider in Angeles City, Pampanga, has blossomed into an essential service holding over 90 municipal franchises across Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

Megaworld Corporation (No. 22): The visionary township developer behind iconic lifestyle hubs like Eastwood City, Uptown Bonifacio, and McKinley Hill made an impressive leap, climbing all the way to No. 22 from No. 90 last year.

Other homegrown favorites shining on the list include Arcanys (No. 34), D&V Philippines (No. 56), Outsourced Quality Assured Services (No. 66), GoTeam (No. 83) and Altius Inspiro (No. 96).

Cultivating cultures that care

Behind these impressive rankings are real stories of employee well-being, growth, and community. Notably, 27 companies on the list are certified exclusively in the Philippines, proving that local leadership and people-first initiatives are creating environments where Filipino employees genuinely love to work.

Charles Plumley, general manager of Great Place To Work® Philippines, captures the spirit behind the triumph:

"Global companies have long come to the Philippines for its people, but this year’s Fortune list illustrates what happens when employers invest in building high-performance workplace cultures... Building great workplaces helps businesses compete on quality and productivity while creating more rewarding careers for Filipinos."

For anyone navigating their career journey, this milestone is a wonderful reminder: finding a workplace that champions its people isn't just a dream—it's becoming the standard right here at home.
