LTO Region 1 eyes relocation of Naguilian office to improve public access
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 1 is exploring the relocation of its Naguilian District Office to the area near EPIC Mall to make driver’s licensing and motor vehicle registration services more accessible to the public.
LTO Region 1 and Naguilian District Office officials met with representatives of the Naguilian local government and Expressions Property Investment Corporation (EPIC), the mall’s owner, to discuss the proposed relocation and possible arrangements.
The discussions focused on identifying a suitable location within the mall's vicinity that would provide greater convenience for motorists and other clients transacting with the agency.
The proposed transfer aims to improve public access to licensing, motor vehicle registration, and other frontline services while reducing the inconvenience of government transactions.
In a statement, LTO Region 1 said the initiative highlights the importance of coordination between government and the private sector in identifying ways to improve public service delivery.
The agency said it would continue coordinating with the Naguilian local government and EPIC to explore practical arrangements for bringing essential transportation services closer to residents.
The initiative is being pursued under the guidance of Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon and LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, following directives from LTO Region 1 Regional Director Glorioso Daniel Z. Martinez and Assistant Regional Director Engr. Eric C. Suriben.
The agency said the proposed relocation forms part of its continuing efforts to provide more accessible, efficient, and convenient transportation services to the public.
