Dataiku brings AI-powered development to Claude Code, Codex
Enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) company Dataiku has introduced Dataiku Headless, a new capability allowing developers to build and manage AI projects directly through coding assistants such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Cursor.
Unveiled at the company’s annual Succeed conference, the technology connects AI-powered coding tools to Dataiku’s governed data and AI platform, allowing developers to work without switching between applications.
Dataiku Headless uses the company’s Cobuild interface to turn natural-language instructions into data pipelines, machine learning models, dashboards and AI agents.
Unlike standalone coding tools that generate scripts, the system produces visual projects that other team members can inspect, review and maintain.
The technology can also help companies modernize older workflows by converting Excel workbooks and Alteryx processes into structured Dataiku projects.
Administrators can use coding assistants to investigate failed jobs, identify technical problems and modify project settings.
“Developers aren’t going to stop working in Claude Code or Codex, and we don’t think they should have to,” said Jed Dougherty, Dataiku’s senior vice president of AI and platform.
“What they need is a way to turn that speed into something the rest of the business can actually see, review, and run in production. That’s what Dataiku Headless does — it meets technical teams in the tools they already trust, and hands back a Dataiku project instead of a script only they can read.”
