ANGONO, Rizal — Police arrested a 28-year-old person listed among Rizal’s provincial-level most wanted inside a public cemetery in Barangay Kalayaan on the evening of 1 November.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office identified the arrested individual only by the alias “Angel.”

In a statement released on 2 November, police said Angono Municipal Police Station warrant personnel carried out the arrest under a warrant issued on 8 August 2025 by the Regional Trial Court Branch 69 in Binangonan, Rizal.

According to police, the warrant was for service of sentence in cases involving violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The statement did not specify the sentence imposed or explain why it remained unserved.

Police said the arrested individual was informed of their constitutional rights and taken to the Angono police custodial facility in Barangay San Isidro.

The arrest took place amid heightened cemetery security during the Undas observance.
