Two males, including a minor, were found dead in a creek along the national highway near Barangay Lang-Ayan in Currimao, Ilocos Norte, in an incident believed to have involved a motorcycle crash.

Police identified one of the fatalities as a 23-year-old construction worker and resident of Barangay Dalayap, Pinili, Ilocos Norte. The other victim was a male minor from the same barangay whose identity was withheld.

Currimao police responded to the incident at around 10:30 a.m. on 1 November after receiving a report of two lifeless individuals in the creek. A red Suzuki Smash motorcycle was also found at the scene.

An initial investigation showed that a passerby first noticed a slipper along the roadside. Upon checking the nearby creek, he discovered the two victims lying lifeless beside the motorcycle and immediately alerted authorities.

Responding police officers found skid marks on the grassy roadside leading toward the creek.

Investigators believe the motorcycle may have lost control, struck the concrete railings, and plunged into the creek. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Family members told police that the two victims had allegedly consumed alcohol before leaving their residence at around 10 p.m. on 31 October.

The bodies were retrieved from the creek and examined by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Addielou Fidelfio Abad, who declared both victims dead at the scene.
