Rapper Gloc-9 is putting a musical spin on one of the country's most recognizable expressions with the release of his new single, "Tara G!," created in collaboration with online gaming platform GameZone.

The track takes its cue from the phrase often heard among Filipinos when inviting friends or family to spend time together. Rather than focusing on a single activity, the song highlights the shared experiences and sense of samahan that the invitation represents.

Known for writing songs rooted in everyday Filipino life, Gloc-9 said the familiar expression provided a fitting starting point for a track centered on connection and community. Whether it leads to a meal, a game or an impromptu gathering, "Tara G!" reflects moments that many Filipinos can relate to.

The collaboration also expands GameZone's "Tara G! Sama Tayo." campaign beyond gaming by using music to reinforce themes of friendship and togetherness.

According to the company, the song was inspired by the role card games have long played in Filipino social gatherings, where conversations and companionship are often just as important as the game itself. That idea serves as the foundation of the collaboration, linking traditional card-playing culture with today's online gaming communities.

GameZone spokesperson Ava Castillo said the company wanted the campaign to resonate beyond advertising.

"We wanted 'Tara G! Sama Tayo.' to be more than a campaign line. Music gives us a way to bring that invitation into Filipino culture in a form people can hear, share, and make their own. Gloc-9 was a natural collaborator because his storytelling has always been rooted in real Filipino experiences," Castillo said.

"Tara G!" is now available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Deezer.
