Honda Cars Philippines named the winners of its 2026 National Skills Contest after dealership personnel from across the country competed in technical repair and customer service categories on 21 October.

The annual competition brought together technicians, service advisors and service marketing specialists from Honda’s network of 41 dealerships nationwide. Participants went through practical tests designed to assess their knowledge and ability to perform tasks they regularly encounter at work.

Honda Cars Cauayan secured two championship titles, with Leonell Jhon Julito winning the General Repair category and Hiero Vincent Vicente taking first place in Body Repair.

In the Service Advisor category, Bennedick Clasara of Honda Cars Shaw emerged as champion, while Melrhey Pinoy of Honda Cars Tarlac won the Paint Repair competition.

Kristine Cathe Victoria of Honda Cars Quezon City completed the list of champions after taking the top award in the Service Marketing Specialist category.

The contest also recognized the first and second runners-up in each discipline.

Christian Angelo Limena of Honda Cars Alabang finished second in General Repair, followed by Benzayb Hervas Jr. of Honda Cars Cebu. In the Service Advisor category, Anna Rose Estarija of Honda Cars Makati placed second, while Rolando Paro Jr. of Honda Cars Bacolod finished third.

Body Repair runner-up honors went to Janrev Amat of Honda Cars Dasmariñas and Reymark Fernandez of Honda Cars Pangasinan. Honda Cars Tarlac earned another podium finish through Johnny Bugash, who placed second in Paint Repair, ahead of Darwin Macatangay of Honda Cars Batangas.

Anna Lyn Odulio of Honda Cars Shaw finished second in Service Marketing Specialist, followed by Karlene Bibero of Honda Cars Tagum.

Each competition examined a different part of dealership operations. General Repair participants used diagnostic equipment and service procedures to identify vehicle problems and perform repairs correctly on the first attempt.

The Service Advisor competition assessed how personnel communicated with customers, understood their concerns and explained the service work needed on their vehicles.

Body Repair contestants were evaluated on their workmanship and compliance with Honda repair standards, while Paint Repair participants demonstrated their ability to produce quality finishes through the proper use of water-based paint technology.

Service Marketing Specialists were tested on customer communication and their ability to promote dealership services, arrange appointments and maintain relationships with vehicle owners.

Honda conducts the National Skills Contest to assess the abilities of its dealership personnel and encourage continued training across its after-sales network.

The five category champions received cash prizes from Honda Cars Philippines and earned the opportunity to represent the country at the Asia Oceania Skills Contest in 2027.
