Four Puerto Princesa flights affected by ASEAN Summit
PAL announces flight adjustments on 14 and 16 November amid anticipated airport restrictions
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan — Four Philippine Airlines (PAL) flights between Manila and Puerto Princesa City are among those affected by cancellations and schedule adjustments announced ahead of the 49th ASEAN Summit in November.
In its 30 October travel advisory, PAL announced changes to several domestic and international flights because of anticipated airport restrictions and increased aircraft movements involving foreign delegations.
The affected Puerto Princesa flights include PR 2779 from Manila to Puerto Princesa and PR 2780 from Puerto Princesa to Manila on 14 November.
Two other flights, PR 2781 from Manila to Puerto Princesa and PR 2782 from Puerto Princesa to Manila, are listed among those affected on 16 November.
The adjustments come ahead of the ASEAN Summit scheduled for 16 to 18 November, when airport operations are expected to accommodate arriving and departing foreign delegations.
Aside from Puerto Princesa, PAL's broader advisory covers flights serving several domestic destinations, including Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan and Zamboanga.
International services involving destinations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Riyadh, Sydney and Melbourne are also included in the airline's flight adjustments.
PAL advised affected passengers to check their flight status and booking details before proceeding to the airport.
Passengers whose flights are affected may avail themselves of applicable rebooking, refund or travel credit options under the airline's advisory.
The changes could affect travelers heading to Palawan for business, tourism and other activities, particularly those with connecting flights through Manila.
Passengers were encouraged to monitor further announcements from PAL as additional schedule adjustments may be issued.
The airline's advisory covers both cancellations and rescheduling. Passengers should confirm the specific status of their flights directly with PAL.
