Climate change has a way of making its presence felt. For Spanish TV reporter Sergio Ovejero, he will remember the experience for a long time.

Ovejero was reporting on the weather live for ETB2 from the seaside promenade of Ondarroa in the Spanish Basque Country on 22 October, warning viewers about the severity of the storms and rough seas.

He was describing the conditions to Odei Esnaola, who was in the ETB2 studio, when he suddenly disappeared from the screen as a strong wave crashed on the seawall, according to the Hindustan Times (HT).

The live video feed stopped abruptly as his camerawoman and the camera were also swept away by the big wave.

Esnaola and the others in the studio were shocked by what they had witnessed. Fortunately, Ovejero and the camerawoman later confirmed on social media that they were safe and unharmed.

Meanwhile, a bride was swept off her feet, literally, during her wedding pictorial.

The photoshoot was being held beside the picturesque Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul, Turkey on 26 October, Jam Press reports, according to the New York Post (NYP).

The bride was instructed to grasp a thick rope tied to a bouquet of huge beige balloons for a stunning effect. A video of the pictorial showed the bride-to-be posing with the giant balloons when a sudden gust pushed them toward the seawall.

Still holding on to the rope and with the wind blowing the balloons, she was dragged toward the seawall and appeared to be borne aloft, the NYP reported.

The viral video showed a photographer running after the woman and grabbing her before she could crash into a building.

The bride who wouldn’t let go of the balloons resumed the photoshoot without any further incident.
