Do laundry remotely
Xiaomi has introduced two smart washing machines in the Philippines, allowing users to remotely manage laundry cycles through their smartphones as the company expands its connected home appliance lineup.
The Mijia Front Load Washer 9kg and Mijia Top Load Washer 13kg are designed for households seeking greater convenience, energy efficiency and improved laundry management.
Both models integrate with Xiaomi’s HyperOS ecosystem and can be controlled through the Xiaomi Home app, allowing users to start, monitor and schedule washing cycles remotely.
The Mijia Top Load Washer 13kg, priced at P16,999, targets larger households with its 80-liter drum capable of accommodating bulky laundry loads, including bedding and curtains.
It features a four-stage 3D water flow system and a Tide Mite-Removal Wash function, which Xiaomi claims can eliminate up to 100 percent of dust mites under laboratory conditions.
The machine also supports Google Assistant voice commands and includes a tub-cleaning function.
Meanwhile, the Mijia Front Load Washer 9kg, priced at P20,999, is designed for smaller households and condominium residents.
It features steam washing technology that Xiaomi claims can eliminate up to 99.99 percent of bacteria, along with an inverter brushless DC motor designed to reduce noise and power consumption.
The front-load model also offers a 1,200-rpm spin speed to help reduce moisture in clothes and shorten drying time.
Both machines allow users to schedule washing cycles to finish around their preferred time, reducing the need to leave freshly washed clothes sitting inside the drum.
