From a medical emergency in Marikina City to a snake removal in Tagbilaran City, the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Unified 911 System is delivering rapid emergency assistance to Filipinos in distress, with response times recorded in as little as three to five minutes.

According to the Unified 911 National Call Center’s latest Consolidated Report on Nationwide Significant Incidents, local responders dispatched through the central hotline achieved rapid arrival times across various emergency scenarios last month.

In Tagbilaran City, Bohol, a rescue team from Tarsier 911 arrived within three minutes of receiving a call regarding a large python inside a local boarding house, successfully capturing and removing the snake without incident.

In Marikina City, local responders dispatched an ambulance within five minutes after receiving a report about a 47-year-old man experiencing severe breathing difficulties. First responders stabilized the patient on site before transporting him to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center.

The report also detailed coordinated responses across other provinces. In Maguindanao del Norte, firefighters dispatched through the hotline extinguished a structural fire within an hour, preventing casualties or injuries.

Over at Cebu City, police and emergency medical teams responded to a three-motorcycle collision, providing immediate medical aid and transporting two injured individuals to a nearby hospital.

Launched in September 2025, the Unified 911 system serves as the country’s primary national hotline for medical crises, fires, traffic accidents, search-and-rescue operations, and police assistance.
