Panabo City, Davao del Norte is strengthening its position as an industrial and logistics hub in Mindanao, supported by investments from the ANFLOCOR Group of Companies in port connectivity, industrial facilities and manufacturing.

Located along the Davao Gulf growth corridor, Panabo combines an established export economy with maritime access and expanding industrial infrastructure, offering businesses opportunities to strengthen supply chains and establish operations outside traditional economic centers.

“Strengthening the country’s trade competitiveness requires continued investment in industrial and logistics infrastructure across the regions,” said Ricardo Floirendo Lagdameo, president of Damosa Land Inc., the property development and management arm of ANFLOCOR.

“Mindanao has the resources, talent, and infrastructure to play a greater role in Philippine trade, and developments in Panabo City demonstrate how regional industrial hubs can support business expansion while contributing to more balanced economic growth,” he added.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the Davao Region recorded $1.98 billion in total external trade in the fourth quarter of 2025, up 19.18 percent year-on-year. Export earnings reached $1.01 billion, an increase of 37.67 percent over the same period.

A key component of the region’s trade infrastructure is the Davao International Container Terminal (DICT), part of the ANFLOCOR Group. The facility handles an average of 350,000 twenty-foot equivalent units annually, connecting Mindanao to major ports and transshipment hubs in China, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore and Indonesia through shipping lines including CMA CGM, SITC, Wan Hai and ONE.

THE Davao International Container Terminal serves as a key maritime gateway for Mindanao’s agricultural and industrial trade. Located just 300 meters from the port, Anflo Industrial Estate (visible in the upper right of the photo) and nearby Philcement’s manufacturing facility complete a strategic growth corridor that integrates port connectivity, industrial development and manufacturing to strengthen Panabo City’s position as a gateway to domestic and global markets.

About 300 meters from DICT is Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE), a 63-hectare industrial development by DLI registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority. The estate accommodates manufacturing, processing, warehousing and export-oriented businesses.

Now marking its 10th year, AIE and its locators have attracted an estimated P8.5 billion in combined capital investments.

The estate’s industrial activity continued in 2026 with the addition of a cold storage facility operated by GMAC Logitech Refrigeration Corp. Another international manufacturing operation is expected to launch toward the end of the year, tapping Mindanao’s agricultural resources.
