A total of 239 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program personnel in MIMAROPA took their oath for permanent positions on 29 October, strengthening the workforce delivering social protection services across the island region.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s MIMAROPA field office said simultaneous ceremonies were held for personnel assigned to its regional office and five provincial operations offices.

Palawan accounted for 104 personnel, followed by Oriental Mindoro with 49, Occidental Mindoro with 48, Romblon with 21 and Marinduque with nine. Eight were from the Regional Program Management Office.

The oath-taking followed the Department of Budget and Management’s approval of 5,703 regular positions for 4Ps nationwide.

DSWD MIMAROPA Regional Director Allyp Albert L. Baybayan led the ceremony in Romblon and urged personnel to use their greater employment security to improve their service and strengthen public trust.

The field office said a more stable workforce would support beneficiary case management, compliance monitoring, grievance handling and coordination with local governments.

These functions are particularly important in MIMAROPA, where island geography and remote communities present challenges in reaching eligible households.

Institutionalized under Republic Act No. 11310, 4Ps provides conditional cash transfers and complementary interventions intended to improve the health, nutrition and education of qualified poor households.
