Davao’s Sy-Tancontian to see action in two international events

DAVAO CITY- Chino Sy-Tancontian will lead team Pilipinas Judo into two international competitions in the North American Region.

Sy-Tancontian will be competing in the -100kg category, and will be joined by teammate Jayvee Ferrer, in the -90kg division in the 2026 Pan American Open in Florida, USA, from 28 October to 1 November followed by the Pan American Open in Montreal, Canada, from 5-8 November.

Pilipinas Sambo head coach Ace Larida will assist the national team during its campaign, providing support as the athletes prepare to face international competition.

These tournaments will hand Tancontian and Ferrer an opportunity to test their skills against international opponents in their continuous Olympic pursuit. They hope for a strong showing in both competitions.
