The Taiwan Link Fair 2026, themed “Connecting Taiwan, Connecting the Philippines, Connecting Possibilities,” made its Philippine debut at the Glorietta Activity Center on 24 to 25 October 2026.

The fair brought together entrepreneurs, exhibitors, families, and visitors through a vibrant showcase of food, décor, beauty products, home equipment, and more.

Organized by the Taiwan Association, Inc. and its partner sectors, the two-day event opened with an energetic dragon dance, inspiring messages, raffle activities, and a showcase of products and businesses aimed at strengthening connections between Taiwan and the Philippines.

Taiwan Association, Inc. President Jia Jen Hsieh said the Taiwan Link Fair was envisioned to be more than a marketplace. She described it as a platform for creating opportunities, investments, local jobs, and stronger partnerships between the two countries.

Hsieh also highlighted the importance of supporting Filipino farmers through technology and innovation to help develop a more sustainable agricultural sector.

“When our farmers prosper, our community prospers,” Hsieh said.

She emphasized that Taiwan and the Philippines are more than business partners, describing the Philippines as a second home for the Taiwanese community.

“Ang Pilipinas po ay tahanan na rin namin. It is our second home. For more than four decades, the Taiwan Association has built a strong relationship with our Filipino partners and communities,” Hsieh said.

Looking beyond the fair, Hsieh expressed hope that the event would open more opportunities for Filipinos and strengthen a relationship built not only on business, but also on friendship.

“May Taiwan Link be the beginning of many more opportunities and lasting relationships between our two countries. Because business may bring us together, but friendship is what keeps us connected,” she said.

Supporting Hsieh’s message, Taiwan Representative Ambassador Wallace Minn-Gan Chow highlighted the purpose of the fair as a venue for connecting businesses, innovation, and people toward shared prosperity.

“The word Taiwan Link captures our purpose, connecting businesses with activities, innovation, and our people through the shared vision of prosperity,” Chow said.

Chow encouraged Filipino visitors to go beyond exploring products and instead engage with Taiwanese exhibitors, exchange ideas, and build genuine friendships that could lead to future collaborations.

“Our lasting partnership begins with conversations. May the conversations we begin today make your fruitful collaborations,” he said.

He also thanked the exhibitors and Filipino partners for their efforts in bringing the two communities closer.

Taiwan-Philippines ties continues to grow

Chow noted that more than 630,000 Filipinos visited Taiwan last year, making the Philippines one of Taiwan’s leading sources of visitors in Southeast Asia.

He said the growing exchanges between the two countries reflect mutual trust, confidence, and shared opportunities.

“That commitment brings us back to the purpose of Taiwan Link Fair—turning connections into cooperation and cooperation into shared prosperity,” Chow said.

From Semiconductors to Entrepreneurship

The fair also featured a special screening of “A Chip Odyssey,” an inspiring film tracing Taiwan’s journey toward becoming a global leader in the semiconductor industry.

Visitors also explored 50 booths, featuring eight Taiwanese companies and 20 Taiwan Association member companies, alongside various exhibits, activities, and a raffle for Manila-Taipei round-trip tickets.

On the second day, visitors also had the opportunity to meet featured entrepreneurs and next-generation business leaders during a panel discussion. The speakers shared their challenges, turning points, and experiences in building businesses and creating lasting connections.

Through business, culture, technology, and personal exchanges, Taiwan Link Fair 2026 highlighted how stronger connections between Taiwan and the Philippines can create opportunities that go beyond a two-day event.
