Caretakers and visitors clean and repair graves at the Pasay City Public Cemetery on 25 October 2026, ahead of the October 28 deadline for cemetery preparations for Undas.

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation will deploy about 2,000 personnel and provide free towing for eligible vehicles as it prepares for heavier expressway traffic during Undas.

MPTC expects traffic across its network to increase by about 5 percent overall, with an average increase of 12 percent during the peak travel days of 30 and 31 October.

Its “Biyaheng Arangkada” program will run from 29 October to 3 November across NLEX, SCTEX, NLEX Connector, CAVITEX, CALAX and Cebu’s CCLEX.

On CAVITEX and CALAX, high traffic volumes are expected on the afternoon of 30 October and the morning of 3 November.

On NLEX and SCTEX, outbound traffic is expected to peak from the afternoon of 30 October through the afternoon of 31 October. Return traffic is anticipated from late afternoon on 2 November until early morning on 3 November.

MPTC said its traffic, toll, security, incident response, technology and support personnel will operate around the clock in coordination with the Philippine National Police, local governments and other agencies.

Free towing to the nearest exit will be available for Class 1 vehicles, including Class 1M vehicles on CCLEX, from 6 a.m. on 30 October until 6 a.m. on 3 November.

Standby medical teams will provide assistance at designated locations. Free basic mechanical services will also be available around the clock at selected NLEX and SCTEX rest and refuel stations and toll plazas along CAVITEX and CALAX.

Roadworks, lane closures and maintenance activities will be suspended from 29 October to 3 November, except for emergency safety repairs.

Motorists were advised to plan their routes, ensure their RFID tags are properly installed and sufficiently funded, observe speed limits and take breaks when needed.

Assistance and traffic updates will be available through the 1-35000 hotline and MPT DriveHub app.
