BAIC owners gather in Tagaytay
A BAIC B40e owner had an unusual story to share when the brand brought its customers together in Tagaytay. He told fellow owners that he once drove through floodwater that reached the doors of his vehicle.
He said the SUV handled the conditions as he had expected. His account was among the experiences shared during a BAIC Philippines gathering on 17 October at Nurture Wellness Village.
The event, called “More Than a Car: The BAIC Community,” brought vehicle owners and company representatives together for a day away from the usual dealership setting.
The group first met along the South Luzon Expressway before driving in a convoy to Tagaytay. The drive gave participants a chance to travel together before they settled in at the venue.
At Nurture Wellness Village, owners met other BAIC drivers and exchanged stories about their vehicles. Guests also took part in Tai Chi activities and head massage sessions. There was time to talk with company representatives and hear how other owners used their cars.
BAIC Philippines brand head Timothy Sytin thanked the owners for their trust and support. He spoke about the role customers play in the community that BAIC hopes to develop around its vehicles.
Other company officials at the event were United Asia Automotive Group Inc. chairman Rommel L. Sytin, UAAGI vice president for Aftersales Lito Landicho and BAIC marketing director May de Los Santos.
The gathering was part of BAIC’s effort to build an owners’ community through road trips and other activities. Events like this also give customers a chance to meet one another outside their usual dealership visits.
The B40e owner’s account was one example of the stories exchanged during the day. He told the group that his vehicle had passed through floodwater as high as its doors, and that the experience matched what he had been told about its capability.
BAIC’s Philippine vehicle range includes the B30e Dune Hybrid Off-Roader, B40 Pro TrailMaster and B40e Trailmaster rEV. It also offers the B40 Ragnar diesel SUV, B60 Beaumont diesel hybrid, B60e Beaumont rEV and B80 Wagon.
The lineup covers several types of SUVs, with conventional diesel engines, hybrid systems and range-extended electric powertrains. The Tagaytay drive brought together people whose vehicles may differ but who have a shared interest in the brand.
BAIC Philippines operates under the UAAGI Auto Group and continues to expand its local dealer network. It also provides sales and after-sales support to customers through its operations in the country.
The company intends to continue activities that bring owners and its team together. The Tagaytay gathering gave drivers an opportunity to meet outside their usual visits to a dealership.
