MakatiMed, DLSZ expand psychiatric services access

Makati Medical Center (MakatiMed) and De La Salle Santiago Zobel (DLSZ) School signed a partnership agreement to strengthen access to psychological and psychiatric services for students and school staff.

Under the memorandum of agreement, MakatiMed will act as an official referral partner for DLSZ, establishing a coordinated pathway for individuals who require psychological evaluations, psychotherapy, or specialized psychiatric treatment.

Through the collaboration, MakatiMed will deliver both in-person and online consultations to referred students and employees.

The hospital’s team of licensed psychologists and psychiatrists will oversee clinical management, session scheduling, and progress monitoring in accordance with professional ethical standards.

Beyond direct clinical care, MakatiMed committed to conducting at least one free annual seminar for students, parents and school personnel focusing on mental health awareness and emotional well-being.

“Partnering with a trusted institution like Makati Medical Center enables us to reinforce our commitment to holistic student development,” DLSZ principal Ruby P. Ramos said. “Together, we are creating a safer, more compassionate school environment where every Lasallian can thrive mentally, emotionally and academically.”

Hospital representatives stated that the initiative advances MakatiMed’s patient-centered care mission by expanding timely access to professional mental health support within school communities.
