EDSA Busway fleet ordered to retrofit and upgrade payment system
Commuters ride the EDSA Bus Carousel at the EDSA Pasay Northbound Station on 22 October 2026. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has ordered EDSA Busway operators to retrofit their buses with left-side passenger doors within six months and implement cashless fare payments by December. The automated fare collection system (AFCS) is intended to provide commuters with more convenient payment options and speed up fare transactions.
