More than P1 million suspected shabu was seized from two newly identified high-value individuals in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig City on Wednesday morning.

Operatives of the Southern Police District (SPD) District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), in coordination with Sub-station 9 of the Taguig City Police Station, closed in on the suspects beside the exit road gate leading to MRT Avenue.

The arrested individuals, a 26-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, both residents of Barangay Hagonoy, were tagged as high-value individuals involved in illegal drug peddling.

Four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu, were recovered from suspects, along with the buy-bust money.

Both suspects are now in the custody of the Southern Police District's Drug Enforcement Unit and will face complaints for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
