Few things are as reassuring to a homebuyer as watching a future home take shape. At The Paddington Place, what began as a vision on paper is now rising into a real address along Shaw Boulevard, in the heart of Mandaluyong City, as the four-tower development officially tops off 20 October, Tuesday.

Developed under the Empire East Elite brand, the four-tower cosmopolitan enclave will soon stand across the skyline of the Tiger City.

The developer recently marked the milestone with a topping-off ceremony called Nexus, a name meant to signify a point of connection.

“We call today’s celebration Nexus, which means a point of connection. I think it is a very fitting name because behind every development is a team of people bringing together their expertise, hard work, and commitment toward a common goal,” said Atty. Anthony Charlemagne C. Yu, president and CEO of Empire East.

The project’s name carries a personal connection for Yu. “The name for this project was personally selected by me. And the reason why I wanted Paddington so much is because when I was studying in London for my first master’s degree, I stayed in a place where the station is Paddington Station,” he shared.

The celebration also highlighted Empire East’s long track record. “For 32 years, Empire East has been building homes and communities. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to 166 residential towers, 122 of which have been completed and turned over to our home buyers,” Yu said. In Mandaluyong alone, the company has completed 40 residential towers.

Yu said this reflects “the trust and confidence that thousands of home buyers have placed in us as a company,” and that The Paddington Place now moves a step closer to becoming part of that growing legacy.

Moving forward despite challenges

Yu acknowledged that the road to this point was not smooth. “The pandemic disrupted our original construction timeline, and we encountered several challenges along the way. But what matters is that we continue moving forward,” he said, crediting the “hard work, dedication, and perseverance of everyone involved” for reaching the milestone.

Convenience at the Doorstep

Inspired by the iconic Paddington Station in London, The Paddington Place promises a safe, secure, and serene city-living experience. It is just a three-minute walk from the Shaw Boulevard station of MRT-3 along EDSA, giving residents easy access to major business districts, leisure hubs, schools, medical centers and lifestyle destinations across Metro Manila.

With its structure now reaching new heights, The Paddington Place brings homebuyers one step closer to a well-connected address in one of the metro’s most vibrant cities.
