Lower electricity bills by P80K? Anker SOLIX launches
Anker SOLIX has entered the Philippine market with three energy storage systems designed to help households reduce electricity costs, maximize solar power and maintain backup electricity during outages.
Launched in Taguig City on 14 October, the brand introduced the SOLIX XE Hybrid, SolarBank 4 and S2000, targeting homeowners, solar energy users and consumers seeking portable power solutions.
The SOLIX XE Hybrid is designed for whole-home backup power and solar energy storage.
According to the company, pairing the system with eight to 10 solar panels could generate an estimated 7,440 to 9,300 kilowatt-hours annually, potentially reducing electricity expenses by P64,700 to P80,900 a year.
The estimates are based on an assumed electricity rate of P14.50 per kilowatt-hour.
For households starting with solar energy, the SolarBank 4 offers a smaller-scale option. A four-panel configuration could generate approximately 3,720 kWh annually, while six panels could produce around 5,580 kWh.
Depending on the installation, the company estimates potential annual electricity savings ranging from P2,300 to P48,600.
Meanwhile, the S2000 provides portable power for remote workers, travelers, outdoor enthusiasts and residents of smaller homes.
Anker SOLIX is targeting a three-year payback period for a typical residential solar storage installation, although actual savings will depend on installation costs, electricity consumption and solar generation.
