KengNamping charms Pinoy fans
Thai stars Harit ‘Keng’ Buayoi and Napatsakorn ‘Namping’ Pingmuang gave Filipino fans an unforgettable night of music, games and heartfelt moments during their first-ever fan meeting in the Philippines.
Thai actors Harit “Keng” Buayoi and Napatsakorn “Namping” Pingmuang, stars of the 2025 supernatural Boys’ Love (BL) series Khemjira, made their highly anticipated first visit to the Philippines, treating Filipino OhOhs to an unforgettable fan meeting at the UP Theater on 18 October.
The duo captivated the audience from the moment they stepped on stage, opening the event with a performance of their series’ original soundtrack, “Never Apart.” Their striking visuals and impressive vocals immediately won over the crowd.
A performance to the viral hit “Ooh Lala Baby” by Baby Dolls, filling the theater with cheers and laughter. Namping playfully rated his dancing a modest two out of 10, while Keng confidently gave himself a perfect score. Their contrasting answers drew laughter from the audience and showcased the pair’s natural chemistry.
The actors also interacted with fans through a series of games, with winners receiving signed Polaroids.
The first game, Zombie Freeze, had the audience laughing as Keng hilariously struck the same pose for every zombie, while Namping charmed fans with his animated reactions.
They later teamed up with fans for a game of charades, where Keng intentionally blurted out answers to help the opposing team, sending the crowd into fits of laughter. Namping also kept the energy high by playfully distracting participants while pretending to help them.
The final game featured the Filipino party favorite Hep Hep Hooray, but with a twist. Instead of the traditional chant, the audience shouted, “Keng Namping,” while the actors created their own signature poses. Keng even briefly took over as host, holding out the microphone to players, while Namping warmly greeted participants after they were eliminated. At one point, he jokingly called a fan “handsome, bro,” earning loud cheers from the crowd.
Another crowd favorite was a drawing challenge in which the pair sketched Filipino folkloric creatures, including the Manananggal and the Tikbalang. Their humorous interpretations and stories about similar folklore creatures in Thailand delighted fans.
The fan meeting concluded with another heartfelt performance from the duo, whose sweet interactions and playful chemistry were met with a special fan project prepared by Filipino OhOhs.
The surprises continued during the Hi-Bye session, when a real-life couple unexpectedly shared a kiss in front of Keng and Namping, drawing wide smiles from the two actors. Their appearance in traditional Barong Tagalog also added a meaningful local touch to the event.
Although Keng and Namping bid farewell at the end of the night, fans have more to look forward to. Khemjira is scheduled to premiere on 31 October following the release of its official trailer, while another upcoming series, Magic Lovers, is expected to debut before the end of the year.
