AIA Philippines launched on 19 October a single-premium investment-linked insurance product that combines life insurance protection with access to global investment funds offering potential quarterly payouts.

Called AIA Advantage Max, the product is available in Philippine peso and US dollar denominations. It provides access to the Global Dynamic Income Paying Fund (GDIF) and the Global Adventurous Income Fund (GAIF), which offer exposure to global investments and potential income.

The GDIF has a historical annualized payout rate of more than 6 percent, while the GAIF targets an annualized payout rate of 7 percent. However, fund distributions are not guaranteed and depend on investment performance and applicable terms.

“Successful investing is achieved through diversification, professional management, disciplined risk management, and staying focused on long-term goals. Equally important is ensuring that the wealth you build is protected,” said Goh Chong Yong, chief investment officer of AIA Philippines.

“AIA Advantage Max is designed with these principles in mind. It combines life insurance protection with access to professionally managed global investment opportunities and the potential for income, helping customers build, protect, and grow their wealth with greater confidence over time,” he added.

The product offers a start-up bonus of up to 5 percent of the single premium, distributed over the first five policy years.

Starting in the 10th policy year, policyholders may also receive a loyalty bonus equivalent to 2 percent of the average monthly account value over the preceding 60 months, payable every five years thereafter, subject to policy terms and conditions.

Advantage Max provides life insurance coverage until age 100. Its death benefit is the higher of 125 percent of the single premium or 105 percent of the account value, including the credited start-up bonus. The company also said the product offers guaranteed issuance without requiring medical examinations.

AIA Philippines said potential quarterly fund distributions may help policyholders meet financial priorities, including health and medical protection needs, while pursuing long-term financial goals.

However, account values, investment returns and fund distributions may fluctuate. The company advises prospective policyholders to review the product’s features, risks, charges and policy conditions with an AIA Life Planner to determine its suitability for their financial goals and risk tolerance.

AIA Philippines, formerly known as Philam Life, is a member of AIA Group Limited, a pan-Asian life insurance group. The company reported total assets of P253.35 billion and net worth of P70.14 billion as of 31 December 2025.
