Police authorities have arrested a suspect linked to the burglary at the residence of celebrity chef and content creator Myke "Tatung" Sarthou in Rizal province, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced Monday.

PNP chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said police tracker teams apprehended the suspect in Sitio Paenaan, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday following leads gathered by local investigators.

During the operation, officers recovered a travel bag containing various items, including kitchen utensils and decorative pieces, strengthening the suspect's connection to the 25 September break-in.

Investigators are determining if additional accomplices were involved.

Nartatez personally ordered the investigation into the burglary after Sarthou reported that police officers repeatedly referred him between stations rather than providing immediate assistance.

Sarthou estimated his losses and property damage at around P4 million, noting that stolen items included appliances, artworks, antiques and electrical wiring.
