Globe Telecom Inc. has generated P1.2 billion in measurable business value from its artificial intelligence programs, driven by revenue growth, operational cost savings, and workforce productivity gains, the company reported.

As of August 2026, the financial returns from Globe's generative AI and machine learning deployment represent a 2.8 times return on its total AI investment, according to an enterprise evaluation released by the telecommunications provider.

Company officials said the performance marks a strategic shift from simply scaling employee adoption to driving measurable business outcomes.

"The real measure of AI is not how many people are using it, but what it actually improves," Globe president and CEO Carl Cruz said in a statement. "We want to see it translate into better experiences for our customers, more intelligent ways of working for our people, and tangible results for the business."

Commercial and customer-facing AI programs generated the bulk of the returns, contributing more than P825 million in incremental revenue.

Globe utilized machine learning algorithms to personalize customer promotions across its rewards, international roaming, lending, and postpaid business segments.

The company also cited P368 million in cost avoidance by integrating AI tools into finance, marketing technology, order management, and customer support workflows.

Internal automation and productivity tools saved more than 52,000 employee work hours, translating to P28 million in operational efficiency gains by allowing staff to automate routine tasks, Globe said.

The financial performance coincides with organizational adoption reaching 90 percent in August 2026, with an internal network of more than 450 non-technical employees actively developing custom AI solutions across various business units.
