Kenneth Llover, coming off a heartbreaking world title elimination fight defeat, makes a return to the ring on 24 October in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

His comeback foe is Indian Neeraj Swami, whose most recognizable opponent — albeit in the amateurs — was Carlo Paalam, the Tokyo Olympics silver medalist.

That fight, won by Paalam on points, took place during the Indian Open in Guwahati in May 2019.

Last June in Nagoya, Llover dropped a 12-round split decision to American Michael Angeletti for the right to become the International Boxing Federation’s bantamweight mandatory challenger.

Just 23, Llover brings to the ring a 17-1 win-loss record with 12 knockouts.

Swami, older by five years, enters the ring with a 5-0 mark with two knockouts.

The handlers of Llover are looking forward to a sensational win as Kameda Promotions is lining him up for a big fight towards the end of 2026.

“Kameda has big plans for him in 2027 provided that he closes out 2026 with a bang,” said Julio Peñalosa, who handles Llover alongside his illustrious father, two-division world champion Gerry Peñalosa.
