Lee Do Hyun, Han So Hee fans: MUSINSA is opening in Manila
If MUSINSA is coming to Manila, could Lee Do Hyun and Han So Hee eventually follow?
Filipino K-fashion fans have another reason to get excited.
MUSINSA STANDARD, the in-house label of South Korea's biggest fashion platform, is opening its first Philippine store this November, bringing the effortless Seoul aesthetic closer to home.
The brand has become a go-to name for minimalist Korean fashion and is closely associated with some of the country's biggest stars, including Lee Do Hyun and Han So Hee.
The arrival of MUSINSA STANDARD marks a major step for the Korean retailer's expansion in Southeast Asia.
Rather than focusing on seasonal trends, the brand is known for elevated everyday essentials designed to be layered, mixed and styled in different ways.
"Filipino consumers are increasingly looking for quality, relevance, and a retail experience that feels considered rather than generic," said Rohit Kohli, chief retail officer of ACX Retail.
"It's a design point of view that Filipino shoppers have already been seeking out on their own, whether through travel or online. Our role is to bring that experience home and build it into something that lasts," he added.
The Philippine collection has also been adapted for the local market.
"As MUSINSA STANDARD grows from Seoul into global markets, we adapt our products and styles to fit the character of each region," said Donald Ha, head of Southeast Asia and Middle East at MUSINSA.
"In the Philippines, we combine the sensibility of Korean fashion design with functional materials suited to local living and climate. The pieces are meant to be layered, mixed, and made your own, not worn as one fixed look."
