Bacha Coffee arrives in Manila
Legendary Moroccan coffeehouse opens its first two Philippine locations
Coffee lovers in the Philippines can now experience one of the world’s most celebrated coffee houses as Bacha Coffee officially opens its first local branches at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City and Greenbelt 3 in Makati City.
Founded in 1910 inside the historic Dar el Bacha palace in Marrakech, Morocco, the luxury coffee brand brings its signature blend of heritage, craftsmanship and specialty coffee to Metro Manila.
The twin openings mark Bacha Coffee’s Philippine debut, introducing its collection of more than 200 varieties of 100% Arabica specialty coffees sourced from 35 renowned coffee-producing regions around the world.
Designed to reflect its Moroccan roots, both destinations feature the brand’s signature interiors, complete with black-and-white marble floors, intricate zellige patterns, carved cedar wood ceilings and polished brass accents.
Each location houses three concepts in one space: a Coffee Bar, where guests can enjoy traditional Moroccan-style coffee service; a Coffee Boutique, offering whole beans, ground coffee and gift collections; and a Takeaway counter serving hot and iced brews.
Unlike many cafés, Bacha Coffee does not serve espresso-based drinks. Instead, every cup is prepared using traditional Moroccan brewing methods and presented in its signature gold gooseneck coffee pots. The menu is paired with freshly baked pastries, including exclusive offerings for the Philippine market such as the Soy Marinated Chicken & Potato Croissant and Chicken, Beans & Peanut Croissant, alongside desserts like the brand’s signature Bacha Coffee Tiramisu.
Beyond freshly brewed coffee, guests can also shop from the brand’s retail collection, which includes rare single-origin coffees, flavored blends, drip coffee gift boxes, bone china accessories, gourmet treats and curated gift hampers.
“Bacha Coffee is the product of a rich legacy, a brand that has ripened over storied brews since 1910,” said Taha Bouqdib, president and CEO of V3 Gourmet. “Our latest destinations will ignite the imagination of our guests in the same way that coffee transports us to faraway destinations.”
With locations spanning Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Bacha Coffee continues its global expansion with its long-awaited arrival in the Philippines.
