NPD sweep nets 11 fugitives
Northern Police District (NPD) operatives arrested 11 fugitives, including three listed among the area’s most wanted individuals, during a coordinated “Warrant Day” operation across northern Metro Manila on Thursday, police officials announced.
NPD director Brig. Gen. Benlinet Capili reported that police units and municipal stations executed multiple court-issued warrants 8 October, capturing three high-priority suspects alongside eight other wanted persons.
In Malabon City, Warrant and Subpoena Section officers served an arrest warrant at 11 a.m. on a 31-year-old construction worker from Barangay Tonsuya.
The suspect was served the warrant at the Malabon City Police Station custodial facility, where he was already being held on separate drug charges.
Presiding Judge Maria Clara de Guzman of the Malabon City Regional Trial Court Branch 73 issued the July 2020 warrant for robbery with violence and intimidation against persons, setting bail at P100,000.
