Two Filipinos were wounded following the Houthi attack on an airport in Saudi Arabia, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) confirmed Sunday.

Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac confirmed that two injured in Saturday's deadly attack, adding that they are now recovering in hospital intensive care units in Riyadh.

Cacdac said the Migrant Workers Office–Overseas Workers Welfare Administration teams are monitoring their situation.

No Filipino fatalities have been reported so far, Cacdac added.

The Iran-backed Houthis have launched a series of attacks against Saudi Arabia, targeting airports, oil facilities and tankers since a truce in their long-running war with Yemen's Riyadh-backed government unravelled in July.

At least 12 people were killed and more than 300 persons were wounded during the attack, according to Saudi authorities.
